About the Book

What is The Soulbound Curse About?

The Soulbound Curse is the opening to a sweeping Viking-inspired fantasy saga. The story follows Elias, a tormented young warrior who unwittingly awakens the spirits of five ancient Viking souls — bound to him by fate. As dark forces rise and past sins resurface, Elias must unravel his own family’s secrets while confronting demonic enemies and ghostly allies. It’s a gritty story of legacy, magic, and redemption, perfect for fans of The Witcher and The Lord of the Rings.

What inspired you to write this story?

I've always been fascinated by Norse mythology and how it explores honor, fate, and the afterlife. The Soulbound Curse grew out of that fascination — I wanted to write a modern fantasy that still felt ancient, raw, and emotionally charged. It’s about grief, but also strength — about carrying burdens, and building unlikely families through shared scars.

What makes this book different than other fantasy novels?

It blends a gritty, emotional tone with vivid, semi-cinematic world-building. The characters are layered and imperfect — they don’t just fight monsters; they fight their own pasts. It also focuses heavily on ancestral legacy, spiritual warfare, and forging identity outside of bloodlines, which isn’t always center stage in epic fantasy.

About the Characters

Who is Elias, and why is he important to the story?

Elias is the reluctant protagonist. He’s powerful but deeply flawed, carrying the trauma of loss and isolation. His connection to the Viking spirits forces him to become something more — not just a warrior, but a leader, even when he doesn’t believe in himself.

Can you talk about the Viking spirits?

Absolutely. There are five Viking souls bound to Elias — each one represents a different warrior archetype: the leader, the strategist, the rogue, the berserker, and the seer. They don’t always get along, and they all have unfinished business. Through Elias, they have a second chance to make things right — or destroy everything.

Are there strong female characters in the series?

Yes. Anya, a fierce streetwise artist, and Astrid, a powerful spectral shieldmaiden, both play central roles. They’re not sidekicks — they’re pivotal to the plot and offer different kinds of strength. I wanted to ensure the series has complex, capable women who drive the story forward.

How long did it take you to write The Soulbound Curse?

This book has been years in the making. I’ve been refining the characters and world for a long time, but this final version came together over several intense writing sessions. It’s the culmination of a much bigger vision — an eight-book saga with deep lore and a complete arc.

Do you already know how the series ends?

Yes — and the ending has been planned from the start. Each book builds toward that finale, with new revelations, betrayals, and character growth along the way. I love leaving breadcrumbs early on that pay off big later.

What do you want readers to take away from this book?

That healing doesn’t always come in the ways we expect. That strength isn’t about being perfect — it’s about showing up, even when it hurts. And that legacy isn’t just what we inherit — it’s what we choose to become.
